Looking farther than you can see. Perfect.

When my son died I was in seminary. First I had to decide whether to go back, and then, six months after his death, I had to decide whether to take the basic homiletics class, coming up in the usual schedule of things. Since then (about two years now), I have always understood what I've been doing as preaching ahead of myself. It was many, many more months before I could imagine there being good news about anything, but I preached it anyway.

So I very much like this life-giving phrase, looking farther than you can see.
