Only a weenie would skip the pickles.

I mean...the nerve!


I didn't attend the "eat off" down at the riverfront. Wife and daughter were at the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure while I spent part of the afternoon huddled with the folks at our food pantry trying to figure out how we were going to continue feeding the 297 families per month (on average) that turn to us for help. Our folks might have enjoyed some of those Krystal's that were wasted, I mean consumed, at the contest.

You are aware, of course, that the Krystal is just a copy of a true Midwestern invention.

White Castle opened in 1921 in Wichita, KS, and started selling its little, square gems for a nickel a piece.
