Daniel Pawlus and Lydia Talbot in conversation with Scott Black Johnston, who says, "I find in the Psalms an incredible amount of human honesty. People just lay it out there to God: this is what I'm feeling and they put it in front of the Almighty as an offering and assume that God will respond."
Sally Quinn's "Divine Impulses" interviews at the Washington Post [dot] com are worth the viewing. Here she interviews Amy Grant. The interview includes her faith crisis that came with her divorce.
Back in October it was my privilege to sit down and interview Peter Wallace, Vice President for Programming of the Alliance for Christian Media, and Executive Producer of Day1.
I'm indebted to Peter for taking the time to give this interview. I hope you enjoy.
Coming interviews include:
Matt Kent of the Pilobolus and Pickle Shoes Dance companies. Matt shares a unique view of the world that is a product of his wide-ranging experiences.
David Smith, a Chaplain in an Adventist Health System hospital, who speaks to their spiritual approach to providing health care.
Thomas G. Long, Bandy Professor of Preaching at the Candler School of Theology of Emory University.
Paul Turner is the Founding Pastor of the Gentle Spirit Christian Church in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Gentle Spirit Christian Church meets in Candler Park in intown
Atlanta. Their worship occurs under and around a pavillon rain, snow,
sleet, or shine. This church elects to meet in the park in order that
their resources can be spent on ministry rather than a building. The
church while inclusive has a powerful ministry to the GLBT Community.
Additionally, the church reaches out to assist the homeless and
marginalized in their community.
This interview, while longer than upcoming QP Interviews, provides a
wonderful story of a man's struggle to serve his Lord in a Christian
tradition not always open to the GLBT community.
